What is a Work Accident According to the World Health Organization (WHO)

WHAT IS AN OCCUPATIONAL ACCIDENT ACCORDING TO THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO)?
It is an unplanned event that causes many personal injuries, damage to machinery and equipment, and halts production for a period of time.

According to Article 13 of the Social Insurance and General Health Insurance Law No. 5510, an occupational accident is defined as

While in insured employment,
The insured person works outside the workplace due to the work carried out by the employer or independently on his/her own behalf and account due to his/her duty, due to the work he/she performs or the subject matter of the work he/she performs,

An occupational accident is an event that occurs during transportation to and from the workplace by a vehicle provided by the employer and that immediately or subsequently renders the insured physically or mentally disabled.
Law No. 6331 on Occupational Health and Safety defines an occupational accident as “an event that occurs in the workplace or due to the execution of the work, which leads to the death of a person or the mental or physical disability of the body integrity”.

Occupational accident is an event that occurs in the workplace or due to the requirements of the work, sometimes leading to death or physical or mental disability of body integrity.
