On April 19, 2017, we filed a criminal complaint with the Istanbul Anatolia Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding threats made via email and phone calls to the landline, mobile phone, work phone, and home phone of XXXXX XXXXX, a member of the board of directors of our client XXXXX Inc.
These threats were made because he participated in a tender opened by the Public Procurement Authority on XX.XX.XXXX. Following our complaint, the prosecutor’s office initiated an investigation under case number 2017/XXXXXX. Considering the size of the tender and the fact that the threats were made to our client’s personal mobile phone, which is not easily accessible to the authorities, it is clear that these threats are very serious. Due to the serious and imminent nature of the threat against our client and the fact that our client’s profession exposes him to constant and open threats, we request that our client be assigned police protection and that other necessary legal measures be taken to eliminate these threats.
