What is the Protection Measure Decision?
There are two types of protection measures decisions within the scope of the Law No. 6284 on the Protection of the Family and the Prevention of Violence Against Women. The first of these is a protective measure decision, and the second is a preventive measure decision. In terms of the authorities making the decision, the decisions on the protection measure are also divided into two. The first of these is the protection measure decisions issued by the property administrative supervisor (governor or district governor) and the other is the family court (first instance law courts where there is no family court). The administrative supervisor is the main authority in administrative protection measure decisions. But in cases where it is inconvenient to delay, the law enforcement officer may also make a decision on a protective measure.
