POVERTY ALIMONY This is alimony requested by the party who will fall into poverty due to divorce, in order to provide for their livelihood indefinitely, in proportion to their financial capacity. The party obligated to pay alimony does not need to be at fault. However, the fault should not be more severe on the other side.

SPOUSAL SUPPORT

This is the amount of alimony determined against the spouse who does not have custody of the child, in proportion to their financial capacity, to cover the education, care, and other expenses of the children.

Alimony is

the money paid by one spouse to the other for the housing and living expenses of the spouse in need while the divorce case is ongoing. When deciding on this matter, issues such as who filed the case and which spouse is at fault are not taken into account. It begins on the date the divorce case is filed and ends on the date the divorce becomes final.

Support alimony is

alimony requested from other family members for a person who would fall into poverty if not supported. It can be requested according to the order of inheritance, i.e., first from descendants, then from ascendants, and finally from siblings. The condition for requesting alimony from siblings is that the siblings live in prosperity.
